About Our Nurseries in Plymouth

At Bright Sparks we are aware of how important family life is to children and the pressures that modern society can have upon this. Therefore we aim to be as flexible as we can to be able to accommodate for most childcare needs.

Opening times

We are open from 7.30 am (7.15 when required) to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday, all year round except for Bank holidays and 2 weeks at Christmas when we close .

What we offer at our Nurseries in Plymouth

We provide for a variety of childcare needs for children aged from 3 months to 12 years please see the what we do page for more details.

All day childcare for children from 3 months to 5 years old.

We have a very well equipped Baby room for the babies (and younger children who are not yet ready for the busier toddler room).

Then there is the Toddler room for children aged around 2 years (the room your child will be cared for in is dependent on which one is best suited to your child not strict age banding).

Finally there is the Pre-school room for the children who are going to be starting school that year (this is where the children get a bit more teaching in-put from our highly trained practitioners to help prepare them for school).

Government funded education for 2, 3 & 4 year olds for 15 hours a week term time (or 12 hours a week all year round if you opt for stretched funding).

Wraparound childcare For children receiving their Government funded childcare at another setting who need additional childcare (we can pick your child up from another nursery or pre-school etc. and you can collect them from us at the required time, or you can bring your child to us in the morning and we can take them to the other setting at the time required for you.

Out of school childcare

We care for school aged children up to the age of 12 years.

This includes: a breakfast club and after school club during term time. We use the Bright Sparks car to transport children to and from a variety of local Schools.

In the holidays we run a holiday club where we provide lots of fun activities and trips. The activities are often themed with the children themselves helping with the planning to ensure a fun time is had.
